Management consultancy always appears as one of the Top 10 careers choices for graduates, with thousands applying every year.
Consultancies and 'The Big Four' have set out their stall as premier graduate employers, winning accolades and cementing their places at the top of surveys such as the Times Top 100 Graduate Employers list. The job market is therefore highly competitive.
There may not be a lot of places out there, but the rewards for those who get them are significant. To have a chance of beating off the competition, you're going to need to every resource available. Luckily for you, we've put them altogether in one place. Right here.
Before even considering an application to a consultancy, there are invariably some minimum requirements. In almost every case, graduate applicants must;
- Have at least a 2:1 or better degree from a respected university - though what that degree is in does not usually matter too much
- Attain at least 300 points at A level - 320 or more in the case of some schemes
- Display a genuine interest in business - relevant work experience is a massive plus
- Be flexible and willing to travel
Got all that? Excellent. Now you can start thinking about applying...
